Finger of God

Here’s the thing, John

I have come to delight

In spontaneous prayer

Never inopportune

Better than sleep.

It is a hearing

I have refined through practice.

And obedience

Better than food.

Stress relievers both

And the only smart way.

Things told me

Are often astounding

Details perhaps scarce

But an inclination

As to the coming day.

Father fills me

With Himself

Always been that way

But had to be re-learned

Down here.

No, seriously John.

I only have each day

The pointings of the

Finger of God.

The Spirit of Wisdom.

And His urgings.

Often come up foolish

In worldly eyes.

But I am now

So much beyond

Shackles of the senses.

This anointing

Brings compassion

Brings power

But all and only

As Father directs.

Days will come Brother

When you tell hungry others

These very things.

To glorify God

And enjoy Him forever.
