The Right Handful

Just a handful

Who pray in the morning

Who will feed

On those Gospels with zeal

And who meet

To repeat all the Lord did

How He stooped

To forgive and to heal.

And this town

Could be moved by the Heavens

As they smiled

Simply helped in small ways

Naming Christ

As their joy in the journey

And their hope

To heal every malaise.

Just a handful

Who know holy comfort

And are bold

In releasing faith’s power

As their Lord

Smiles and walks right beside them

To deliver

Grace this very hour.
