Let Every Heart Prepare Him Room

It seems that from this Thanksgiving weekend everything rushes surprisingly toward Christmas. You have a warm welcome to visit our holiday blog at http://twelfthmonth.wordpress.com/

Let Every Heart Prepare Him Room

now go…and see this thing which is come to pass

Oh the heart’s desire to be so transparent before the Lover, the God of all that is, or will be, good, glorious and gainful. Lay it all…lay it all… in plain view…perplexed heart, for the grand Clarification.

And He allows His partner from eternal ages past to leave the throne room for a hasty arrival, in the midst of beasts in a strange city. A Mother has graciously heard the offer and replied, “Be it unto me”.

A Caretaker somewhat baffled, has brought the little family the distance for civic duty, and has secured a point of arrival, at last possible moment’s relief.

And the LIFE, the WORD, is translated…into diapers and a doting little woman’s embrace. Did He not make Himself transparent unto you? Will you now not reciprocate in all humility and trust? You will find the letting go to be exquisitely enlightening. An intimacy that you will never abandon.

…and another sampling or two

In the depths of London town

Gutters, shambles, broken down

Whiskey, gin spilled on the street

Pockets picked by nimble feet

Sally Anne with brassy joy

Catches ear of girl and boy

‘Bout a child who had no home

Pure with promise; made to roam

Magic ‘neath a Star so bright

Come to give the downcast light.

This the hope of Yuletide charm

Entered Yahweh’s strong right arm

Entered shepherd for the lost

Entered hope at matchless cost.

…If you take a right turn here

Cross the courtyard, damp and clear

Pull the gate and climb the stair

You will find an urchin there

She with tones so clear and bright

Sings a holy “Silent Night”.
