Content, Everlastingly

Each day with His staff

Each day with His rod

And never a hazard

Unknown to our God

His patience immeasurable

His powers un-tapped

But prayer brings the answers

As rescues get mapped

I seem most unworthy

I stumble and fall

But He calls me “Son”

And will sort through it all

So what might defeat me

These ups and these downs

Are working out muscle

And soon come the crowns.

His pleasure to honour

And decorate too

My “please” and my “thank you”

The most I can do.
