Yesterday back at that ancient Rue de Petit Champlain I saw an old white haired and pony-tailed man with a shopping bag containing some special art print. He stopped on the cobblestones right under a bright orange-yellow autumn tree to show his purchase to a man who appeared to be a staffer at one of the facilities. Delightful conversation going on there and so considerate. Were they acquaintances or just fellow travelers for a beautiful moment? I sensed it was the latter. Beautiful photo piece and human story.
Don’t try to tell me these French are cranky or xenophobic. They know how to live and to bless…parking lot attendant by the boat or little cashier at the Metro or hotel valets…precious.
Our trip to Quebec City continues to amaze.
